The name of this wine from the prestigious Umani Ronchi derives from Villa Bianchi, the country house in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi region, where the family used to make wine from grapes grown in the surrounding vineyards. Today, Villa Bianchi seeks to express the distinctive qualities of the Verdicchio grape, with its aromatic notes of freshness and elegance. This is achieved through careful selection of the grapes and the use of winemaking techniques that preserve the aromatic heritage of this variety.
Tasting notes: Bright straw-yellow color with greenish reflections. The aroma is intense and delicate, fruity and floral. On the palate, it presents a pleasant structure based on saline and fresh notes, culminating in a finish with a typical almond hint.
Food pairing: light appetizers, pasta and risottos with seafood sauces; excellent with grilled, au gratin or baked fish.
Origin: Colline del Verdicchio, Marche. The soils are franco-clayey, deep and relatively fresh. There are large temperature variations between day and night.
Year: 2024
Grape varieties: 100% Verdicchio.
Winemaking: after a soft pressing, the free-run must is rapidly cooled and then statically decanted. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks at a temperature maintained between 14° and 16°C and lasts approximately 8 to 10 days. Subsequently, the wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation. All production stages, from harvest to bottling, are carried out under protection or reduction conditions, i.e., in the absence of oxygen, to preserve the primary aromas of the grape and obtain greater organoleptic freshness. This is followed by aging in steel tanks for approximately 4 months.
Alcoholic content: 12.5%
Serving temperature: should be served between 12ºC and 13ºC
