A tribute from Tenute Piccini to the famous character created by the Florentine journalist and writer Carlo Collodi, in an unusual bottle shape inspired by traditional flasks. Piccini offers a journey through three regions – Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and Puglia – evoking the adventures of young Pinocchio. The wine combines three great red grape varieties: the floral and complex Sangiovese from Tuscany, the fresher Sangiovese from Emilia-Romagna, and the black fruit of Apulian Negroamaro.
Pinocchio exhibits an intense red color. Citrus and spicy aromas enchant the nose, while bright notes of aromatic herbs enhance the background. The bouquet reveals delicate aromas of strawberries, blackberries, and red fruits, accompanied by a floral fragrance. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, providing an enveloping and intriguing finish, like a Pinocchio somersault.
It pairs very well with fish soups and meat-based first courses.
