In the winemaking of this Piccini wine, where the Sangiovese grape (used for Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino) predominates, the method known as "Governo all'uso Toscano" is used. This method is similar to the ripasso used in Veneto, consisting of a secondary fermentation of the wine, obtained by adding slightly dried grapes. This process adds softness and mouthfeel.

In colour, it is cherry red. On the nose, it presents intense and persistent notes of ripe red fruits, leather, and herbs. On the palate, it is a structured wine with good acidity, firm tannins, and prominent notes of red fruits.

A versatile companion, it pairs equally well with a risotto or a ragù, white and red meats.

Origin: Tuscany
