Aldo Mussini 5 Medaglie is a symbol of how tradition can be renewed to meet the expectations of modern palates, without ever losing its essence.
Mussini's Master Vinegar Makers, heirs to Aldo Mussini's passion, have successfully modernised the production process, remaining faithful to methods passed down from generation to generation, but adapting them to current needs. This balsamic vinegar is also a fair tribute to Aldo's knowledge, who in the early 20th century visited local master coopers in search of barrels made from noble woods. These
oak barrels, a family legacy, continue to play a central role in the production process:

Maintaining the tradition started by Aldo Mussini in the early 20th century, this 5-medal Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI is made exclusively with natural ingredients, selected with the utmost care. It is the result of a long ageing process in oak barrels, during which the Master Vinegar Makers masterfully blend the must and vinegar. It has a syrupy consistency, a dark and shiny colour, with reddish reflections. The aroma reveals intense notes of noble woods, as well as plum and vanilla, and the flavour is balanced and harmonious, persistent on the palate. A superior quality balsamic, very balanced and with good structure. The 5 Medals classification represents the top of the range among Mussini's balsamic vinegars.

It can be used in salads, vegetables, sauces or meat or fish marinades. It is perfect to accompany risottos, eggs, tartares and grilled meats. It is also surprising with seafood and desserts.

Ingredients: wine vinegar and cooked grape must.

Average Density: 1.35

Acidity: 6%

Origin: Modena, Emilia Romagna region

These are the three fundamental secrets that, from generation to generation, are passed down at Casa Mussini to guarantee a unique and inimitable balsamic vinegar, as well as other sophisticated condiments: high-quality musts coming only from selected vineyards (Trebbiano, Lambrusco Grasparossa and Ancellotta); the right soil for cultivating vineyards with a strong character; and the care in the preparation and ageing of each product.

Casa Mussini

As is often the case in Modena, Casa Mussini also has a history rooted in the past. Mussini's originality lies in the story of its founders: two maternal cousins who, having grown up in rural Modena and shared a professional path in the world of ceramics, at some point felt a strong desire for independence and the desire to reclaim a land and culture that has so much to offer in terms of quality of life. Thus began a commercial activity named after the Mussini mothers, who since 1909 had been dedicated to the production of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in the family's vinegar factory in Magreta.

Over time, Mussini acquired knowledge, experience and skills, capable of following in the footsteps of tradition and at the same time applying the most modern technology and contemporary tools, to which it adds a deep understanding of current food trends for a product in constant improvement.

Today, Mussini's strength lies in the original fusion of its apparent contradictions: respect for tradition and a taste for experimentation; attachment to the past and a vision for the future; appreciation of local culture and openness to international palates. A dual soul that is also reflected in the current owners: Giorgio, who interprets external stimuli into original recipes, and Gabriele, who takes care of the design to offer products capable of standing out at the point of sale for their style and personality.
