Initially called Birra Trinacria, it was later renamed after its city of origin. This is how Birra Messina was born, the pride of this unique land. This recipe was born from the inspiration of Messina's master brewers, who selected a special ingredient: Sicilian salt crystals.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBirra Messina's success grew over the years and, in 1999, the old brewery could no longer sustain demand. Unable to expand or move the brewery out of the city centre, they were forced to transfer production to Massafra, in Puglia, to a more modern factory.
